Cable trays, scaffolding components and drainage channels combine structural sheet-metal profiles with dense punching or embossing. Although the products serve different markets, each benefits from coil-fed feature creation followed by controlled forming and cut-to-length.
Engineering must start with the applicable product design, load requirements, material and corrosion protection. The machine produces repeatable components; product certification and structural validation remain the responsibility of the appropriate designer and test process.
Cable trays and electrical enclosures
Cable trays need ventilation patterns, mounting slots and stiffening forms. Parametric punching can vary hole layouts and length. Covers, side rails and electrical cabinet profiles may require related but separate tooling. Burr control and coating protection support safe installation.
Scaffolding decks and steps
Walkable components use formed ribs, perforations and anti-slip features to create stiffness and grip. High forming and punching loads require suitable press capacity, shaft stiffness and material support. Finished components require structural testing beyond dimensional acceptance.
Drain channels and gratings
Drainage profiles may include slots, edge folds and connection features. The process must control width and straightness so sections join and fit covers or supports. Galvanized and stainless materials require tooling and lubrication choices matched to surface and strength.
Integrate punching without bottlenecks
Dense patterns can limit line output. Multiple tools, servo feeding, rotary methods or buffers may balance punching with continuous forming. Cycle calculations should use the most demanding product, not only an unperforated profile.

Frequently asked questions
Does the roll forming line certify a structural product?
No. The line can be accepted for repeatable manufacturing, while the finished product must meet its applicable design and test requirements.
What limits speed on perforated profiles?
Punching cycle, tool arrangement, feed motion and scrap removal often become the constraint rather than the forming stands.
